A statement from Mavs Gaming
March 18, 2020
As you know, the NBA 2K League postponed the start of its 2020 season in response to the coronavirus pandemic. This decision was made to safeguard the health and well-being of NBA 2K League players, teams, fans and everyone else connected to the league. Mavs Gaming and the NBA 2K League remain in constant communication with a wide range of local and national experts and will continue to make informed decisions based on their research, data and input.
In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to bring the excitement of the NBA 2K League to our fans as Mavs Gaming and the 22 other teams continue to prepare for the start of the 2020 season. In the coming weeks, NBA 2K League teams will compete in preseason competitions and create other content remotely from our team markets. The league continues to monitor the situation and is weighing all options for regular season games. We look forward to sharing additional information as it becomes available.
We encourage you to visit NBA2KLeague.com and the NBA 2K League social channels for the latest news and updates to stay connected to the league, along with guidelines on how to keep yourself and your family safe and healthy. Mavsgaming.com and Mavs Gaming social channels will also continue to provide content for our fans during this time.
Our team and the city of Dallas are committed to looking out for one another and for you, our fans. This complicated situation transcends esports. Together – with all levels of the government, public health officials, infectious disease specialists, and our local community – we must work as a team.
Thank you for your loyalty and patience during these unprecedented times.
