MAVS GAMING WINS THE TICKET

This week, Mavs Gaming competed in THE STEAL 3v3 Tournament and THE TICKET 5v5 Tournament to earn a spot in the NBA 2K League Playoffs. On Wednesday, Aug. 10, MavsGG’s 3v3 season came to an end after the team fell to the Warriors Gaming Squad in a best of five series. Friday, Aug. 12, saw Mavs Gaming defeat Blazer5 Gaming and move on to the next round of the 5v5 tournament. On the final day of THE TICKET, MavsGG went on to win back-to-back games against Pistons GT and Kings Guard, which sent them to the championship game. The win against Kings Guard put Mavs Gaming in the Playoffs, with the top two teams in each tournament automatically earning a spot. To close out THE TICKET, Mavs Gaming came out on top against Magic Gaming, earning their first banner in the program’s history and a $50,000 prize. Center Sick One (Jerry Knapp) was selected as the MVP for his performance in the final game. Mavs Gaming will be back in action when they return to Indianapolis for the NBA 2K League 5v5 Playoffs that will begin Aug. 24 and go until Aug. 27.
