Week 6 Preview: Putting the Perfect Record to the Test

GAME PREVIEW NOTES

THE TURN FULL RECAP

MAY 21, 2019

Mavs Gaming placed top eight in the tournament after defeating Knicks Gaming, 85-70, in the first round and losing to Warriors Gaming, 64-60, in the quarterfinals. The team entered THE TURN as the No. 2 seed.

With this placement, MavsGG brought home $7,200 and still sits as the first place team in the league at an unblemished 7-0. Tournament wins or losses do not impact teams’ regular season records, so each team remains in its same pre-tournament ranking.

BUCKS GAMING PREVIEW

Bucks Gaming enters week six after going 0-2 in its last trip. The Bucks lost a close game to Kings Guard as former MavsGG guard BallLikeSeem drained the game-winning shot late. Bucks lost that first game by only two points, 63-61. In game 2, BucksGG hoped to bounce back, but WizardsDG made other plans. After a 14-point first half from the team in Milwaukee and an all-around terrible shooting performance, the team went 0-2 in the week. The game ended in a lopsided victory for the Wizards, 77-57. Plondo put up a double double for BucksGG; his final stat line was 17 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, three steals with four turnovers.

PISTONS GT PREVIEW

Coming into this week, Pistons GT made a dynamic lineup change trading MrStylez to Hawks Talon GC in exchange for Dev Goss. With the trade and little to no practice under their belts, the team dropped to 1-6 on the season. Multiple players had big performances for the team, but it seemed like the defense continued to struggle giving up over 60 points in both games. They lost to Magic Gaming (63-55) and T-Wolves Gaming (73-59).

UPDATE (May 21, 4:02pm CT) : An earlier version of this preview stated that Bucks Gaming went 1-1 in Week 5, but has been corrected to 0-2.Â
