Week 6 Recap: MavsGG makes history, starts 9-0
May 28, 2019
Mavs Gaming made history Wednesday night becoming the first team to have a 9-0 start in the season.
Game One
Fresh off of a bye week, MavsGG won against Bucks Gaming, 59-45. The team from Milwaukee came out with a new lineup this week. With Chaddynick shifting back to point guard, the team moved SlayIsland, who struggled in recent weeks, back to the lockdown defender at shooting guard. Even with the change, the backcourt continued to struggle. Chaddynick finished with zero points, two assists and four turnovers.
Mavs Gaming outscored BucksGG 29-21 in the final half of the game, despite poor shooting in the third quarter. PeteBeBallin recorded another double-double, finishing with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Reminding everyone why he was taken first overall in 2018, Dimez earned the title player of the game, shooting 11-of-17 for a 64% field-goal percentage. His final stat line was 25 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals with four turnovers.

Game Two
Later that evening, MavsGG defeated Pistons GT 81-59 in a game that was also one-sided. Pistons GT recently traded MrStylez to Hawks Talon GC in exchange for Dev Goss. Even after an extra week of practice to get acclimated to a new addition, the team still struggled to find its rhythm.
However, multiple MavsGG players had breakout performances in this game. Sherm tied the league record of eight steals in the game and also scored 12 points. Rux and Mo set new personal records in scoring. Rux earned 20 points on 7-of-10 shots — 6 of those from three-point range. Mo was named player of the game and was also nominated for Intel Player of the Week honors with his 34-point performance.
Another successful business trip for the team 💼👨💼
