Week 7 Recap: MavsGG splits games 1-1

Mavs Gaming split its games with a win over Kings Guard Gaming and a tough loss to 76ers GC in Week 7 of the 2019 NBA 2K League regular season. With the loss, the team ended the week 10-1 and tied for first place with Blazer5 Gaming.
The team won its first game against Kings Guard; 69-40. Dimez: 29 points & 10 assists | Rux: 15 points & four rebounds. Unlike many of the team’s previous games, MavsGG dominated Kings Guard from the opening tip. Dallas held Sacramento to 25 points in the first half of the game. Prior to Week 7, BP averaged 20.4 points per game, but he couldn’t find his stride against Sherm’s defense. BP ended the game with a 23% field-goal percentage and only seven points. Dimez scoring and distributing efficiency lifted MavsGG to one of its most complete games this season. He went 13-of-16 from the field, an 81% field-goal percentage. His final stat line was 29 points, 10 assists, one steal and one block with four turnovers.

Mavs Gaming lost its second game against 76ers GC; 74-68. PeteBeBallin: 22 points & 15 rebounds | Dimez: 12 points & 13 assists. 76ers GC came out strong to open up the game. At the end of the first, MavsGG was held to 11 points. Even with another double-double for PeteBeBallin and a solid offensive showcase from MavsGG, the scoring behind the arc would carry 76ers GC to the win. Sherm forced five turnovers from Radiant, but ZDS stepped up in a big way for Philadelphia. He scored 39 points on 15-of-25 shots from field-goal range. The 76ers scored six more three pointers than MavsGG, despite shooting the exact same number of total shots.
